The
Lakshmi Narayan Temple is located in Chamba
Himachal Pradesh India.Temple receive a large number of pilgrim and devotees annually.It was built in the 10th century and is devoted to
Lord Shiva.The temple is considered to be built by Raja Sahil Verma.Legend has it the king was sent out his son into the Vindhya mountains for finding marble stone to make lord Vishnu idol.

Even though the son was able to find and bring marble stone, the king found that the stones and a dirty frog sitting over them.Angry Raja Sahil Verma Sent his eight sons back for finding better marble stones.However, all the sons were killed in during their return journey.The King adamant and sent out his eldest son to look for the stone.He was successful in destroying the attackers with assistant from a saint and return back with the stone.

Lakshmi Narayan temple was not built by the sacrifice.It said that the Raja decided that the idol should be made out of marble and sent his nine sons to Vindhya mountain for a slab of marble.The Prince did not come back with it but as the idol makers and started working on it they found it to be united for making an idol of Lord Vishnu.So, it was decided that smaller idol of other gods should be made out of it.
According, three idols were made out of the stone slab and eight younger princes were sent back to Vindhya mountains for more.the images were found in the Trimukha, who was a three-faced Shiva, Ganpati, and goddess Lakshmi, the consort of Lord Vishnu.
